Michael Magid
Michael Magid has 17 years experience in goalkeeper training and goalkeeper coaching. He is an excellent teacher of the goalkeeping position and he works hard at being a student of the game constantly making his own skills more advanced. His education has stemmed from some of the world’s greatest goalkeeper specialists. Prior to our club; Michael was the goalkeeping director at Real Socal, an assistant coach for Everton FC’s North American Program, a player/coach for the USL’s SFV Quakes, and a staff coach for Region IV ODP.
Additionally, Michael has coached collegiately by acting as a goalkeeper trainer/ camp staff at universities such as SMC, Cal Poly SLO, and UCLA. Michael holds several prestigious licenses in goalkeeping, and sports performance from Federations such as the USSF, NSCAA, NCCPT, AAAISMA, and others.
Saskia Webber
Saskia Webber begins her second season as goalkeeper coach at UCLA. In her first campaign, she guided first-year starter Lauren Brzykcy to All-America and Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year honors.
Webber was a member of U.S. Soccer’s legendary 1999 World Cup championship team and was also teammates with Bruin head coach Amanda Cromwell on the 1995 World Cup squad and 1996 Olympic team. A member of the USWNT for eight years, Webber was a founding member of the Women’s United Soccer Association, playing for the Philadelphia Charge in 2001 and for the New York Power in 2002. Additionally, she played professionally for three years in Japan for Oki FC, where she was named the top goalkeeper of the league.
A four-year starter at Rutgers University, Webber was an All-American, Honda Award finalist and winner of the Missouri Athletic Club Goalkeeper of the Year Award in 1992. She finished her collegiate career with a school-record 34 shutouts, a record that stood for 17 years. Webber was selected by Soccer America to the Team of the 90s, and in 1998, she became the first female soccer player to be inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame.
Prior to starting her coaching duties at UCLA, Webber served as the director of goalkeeping for the Los Angeles Bulls.
Webber is a founding investor of Angel City FC, which will begin play in the NWSL in 2022, and the host of the popular podcast “Inside The 18”.
Omar Zeenni
Omar Zeenni begins his 1st year as Goalkeeper Coach for MLS's LAFC's affiliate Las Vegas Lights.
Omar Zeenni is one of the most sought after young voices in goalkeeping today. After an illustrious playing career was derailed by injuries ;(Omar is the graduate of the prestigious LA Galaxy Academy; and former Big West Conference Goalkeeper of the year at UC Davis) Omar transitioned into coaching.
Omar spent his early coaching career as an assistant coach for UC Davis.
He quickly fell in love with the process of breaking down film and designing training regimens for his goalkeepers. Not too long after, he started Pro GK Academy. (An online "Virtual" GK school) . Within a few short years; the program has gone from a small youtube channel; to the leading virtual resource for goalkeepers today (Over 100,000 followers on instagram alone!) LAGKA is excited to bring Omar's vast abilities into our fold as he will continue to produce our online content with Pro GK & be available for private & group sessions throughout our vast web of satellite locations.
